Hanging out by the Ocean November 8

Yesterday we took our Fisterra - Muxia credentials to the tourism office for validation
And received our Muxiana -credentials of the end of the Way
For clarification....the compostela we earned arriving in Santiago was a 'big deal'.  We added 4 days of additional walking to get to the edge of the world, which is a 'much smaller deal'. We are pleased to have completed both.

We are staying at the alburgue
It is very new and comfortable, but has no Spanish nostalgia

Today we are having a very relaxing day...walked along the ocean to the old church with a separate bell tower
We visit the monument built on the site of where the Greek tanker 'Prestige' leaked 70,000 gallons of oil in November of 2002
And visit the church of Santa Maria.
This sanctuary is related to the legend that places the appearance of the Virgin to the apostle St. James on these coasts to inspire him in his preaching
These rock formations are opposite the above church and are known as  Pedra de Abalar, Pedra dos Cadis and Pedra do Timon.

The Muxia lighthouse - it was so windy here we didn't dare get any closer!

This evening we are planning a dinner of local shell fish and either octupus or chicken!
