Muxia back to Santiago November 9

This morning we boarded a bus in Muxia headed to Santiago .  Once we arrived in Santiago we find accommodation at the Hotel Real (45 Euros)
Of course it is (still) raining , the accommodations are beautiful yet again.

This occasional table in our room
Every one of the 'books' is a pull out drawer

Sid celebrates our final day in Spain with a celebratory cigar
I waste no time lovingly and discreetly reminding him about how much it stinks and how disgusting cigars are....he totally appreciates my insight.

We did some sightseeing this afternoon ....for about 90 minutes the rain had a rest...we went back to the catherdral and surrounding area
Of course there is a tree in bloom in November !

This is the entrance to the Paradore Hotel right near the cathedral
The Paradore chain is a very high end hotel in Spain that retro fits ( not sure if that is the correct term) very old buildings into very elegant hotels.  The Paradore in Santiago at one time was the pilgrims Hospital, dating back to the 1400's.  I sit for a short minute in the grand foyer
We walked through the catherdral where we attended mass last week
We visited the tomb of St James but took no pictures there
The sky soon clouds over
Tomorrow morning we find our way back to the bus depot and head to Porto Portugal for 3 nights.

We loved every minute on the camino to Santiago....and are very glad we continued to the edge of the old world.  The constant cloud, rain and dampness of costal weather is draining....while we do love the ocean (from a distance) we will be happy to see some sunshine.
