We had a most enjoyable stay in Lires. This morning, in a spot so remote even google barely knows anything about it, we came down for breakfast and joined another couple from The Netherlands. They left their home near Rotterdam nearly 3 months ago, with their border collie dog and biked 1600 km to SJDPP, and have walked since then. While biking they carried their dog in a chariot, normally used for small children. We were going through the usual conversation about where are you from etc...they have been to Alberta twice...oh really ....where in Alberta? ...a small town north of Red Deer...Lacombe...no kidding. Her uncle is Albert Kieboom and he lives on our golf course on Fairway Drive! While the name is familiar we do not know Albert...but pretty sure our people know his people....once again such a small world.
Leaving Lires we see another huge agave
We thought these were desert plants, but they are alive and thriving in the rainforest also.
We walk through more eucalyptus
And along the beautiful coast
The entrance to our final destination is grand
Looking back
And into Muxia
Population under 5000, another fishing village
We check into the local albergue and have a private room. This place has a kitchen, so pasta it is...also doing stinky laundry , in a machine, for the last time.
It has been all about the journey!
