Sid orders breakfast
And we have a Spanish omelet-again!
We walk through some farmland and our trail mates are these sheep
On their way to join the rest of the flock!
At the summit we stop for a photo
Some of our views
We even see a crushing plant and think of Dana
There are many ways to transport luggage it seems
We follow the river as we enter the city of Burgos - population 170,000
We check into the Norte y Londres (103 Euros for 2 night)
and the receptionist stamps our credentials
Tomorrow we are taking a day off, we have been walking for 13 days and covered 275 km. The next part of our journey is in the Meseta which sound a whole bunch like the prairies. They say the camino is one third physical, one third mental and one third spiritual ( similar to life...except the thirds are figurative?). We are about to begin the mental stage! The parts of Spain that we see are very clean, the people are friendly and we feel very safe.
On Thursday our friends Bronnie and Patricia head home, one to Huston and one to Calgary, you have been great company and we will miss you. Bronnie I hope you have your ice cream blow out in Burgos and Patricia - looking forward to meeting up with you in Phoenix.
It is a small world after all!
